Event Program

The FANTOM Training Event offers an exclusive opportunity for FANTOM students to gain in-depth knowledge in the critical fields of clinical trials and bioethics. Hosted at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), this event brings together leading experts and professionals for a series of specialised lectures, discussions, and networking sessions designed specifically for students enrolled in the FANTOM program.

The event will cover a wide range of essential topics, from gender, equality, and diversity in clinical research to complex bioethical issues like euthanasia and organ donation. Students will also explore current clinical trials in Europe, focusing on lymphoma, and learn about the pivotal role of data management in clinical trials.

Additional sessions will provide insights into the perspectives of clinical trial companies and regulatory bodies, offering a well-rounded understanding of the clinical trial process. Participants will also gain valuable knowledge of the legal framework and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines that govern clinical research.

The final day of the event will highlight career opportunities in clinical trial management and data management, with speakers sharing personal experiences and professional insights. A session on the intersection of artificial intelligence and bioethics will close the event, offering a forward-looking perspective on future trends in clinical research.

This event is exclusively for FANTOM students, providing a unique and tailored learning experience in the areas of clinical trials, bioethics, and the many professional opportunities within these fields.
